Helpful advice to design students

Your portfolio and especially your CV is the most important weapon you have when contacting design studio’s and should make an impact in the right way!

As a busy design studio we get inundated with CV’s from students, freelancers etc and its quite shocking the amount of CV’s we receive that have been cobbled together in Microsoft Word and in Times New Roman (even comic sans has been used once or twice!)

Your CV is your chance to impress, not only with the content but probably more importantly the design or creative flare used. The exploration of different formats shouldn’t be ignored, be it a nice shaped flyer or brochure. Even looking at digital media, sending an online CV/gallery can be something a little different.

We have recently given the chance for several design students to progress their expertise further and have been pleasantly surprised by their dedication and skills.

So come on, if you are a budding design student feel free to Email or post your creative CV’s for us to take a look at.
