Our Chief Executive Hems de Winter and Account Executive Jenna Vernon found their communication skills being tested to the extreme last week as they stood in front of an eagerly awaiting audience to give an hour long presentation…the challenge…half of the people in the room were deaf!
Our team has been fascinated by the work of Deafness Support Network (DSN) since we won the PR account earlier this year, so we jumped at the chance to introduce ourselves at their full staff meeting and came away even more amazed than we already were.
On hand to interpret our presentations on PR and social media were two British sign language communicators and two palantypists (Speech to Text Reporters) who typed everything we said to appear on screen.
